ABOUT ME
I'm Sarah, a mum of two who lives in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. I trained in both antenatal teaching and baby massage, with the National Childbirth Trust with the University of Worcester, I'm currently an antenatal teacher for the NCT in Beaconsfield, where I have been working for the last 12 years.
I’m part of the Birth and Beyond Collective which is made up of NCT trained teachers.
Before working for the NCT, I worked as a Physiotherapist in the NHS for 15 years. I specialised as a Women's Health Physiotherapist, for the last 10 years, concentrating in pregnancy and incontinence.
I love supporting parents on their journey through early parenthood.
I‘ve been making bobbin lace since childhood. Over the years I’ve made Torchon, Bedfordshire, Bruges, Buckinghamshire, Maltese and Milanese . My favourite lace is fine Torchon and floral Buckinghamshire lace.
I’m part of a collective called ‘Lacemakers of Tomorrow’ who are looking to share their knowledge and teach lace to protect the future of this craft that was placed on the Red List for endangecrafts.
